Why SonicGuard?
SonicGuard Ultrasonic Repellent is a small electronic device, in the form of a pendant, that attaches to your pet's collar. It's the ideal solution to keep ticks and fleas away from dogs and cats, in a totally safe way with zero side effects. Completely non-toxic, SonicGuard uses no chemicals or foul odors, but works by emitting a series of ultrasonic sound waves that are harmless and imperceptible to both you and your pets, but that disturb ticks and fleas, repelling them from pets and keeping them away for the life of the battery. SonicGuard technology underwent rigorous testing and was proven effective by a clinical study at the Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Laboratory, University of Camerino, Italy. The results showed that in dogs that were not infested prior to the start of the study, SonicGuard prevented any infestation against Ticks and Fleas.
How It Works
The SonicGuard device emits a series of ultrasonic pulses that are imperceptible to humans, pets or wildlife, but interfere with the ability of ticks and fleas to orient themselves.
The ultrasonic wave is an acoustic (sound) energy in the form of waves having a frequency range above that of human hearing range.
The sounds humans can perceive have a frequency ranging from 20–20,000 hertz (Hz). While pets can hear ultrasound frequencies, 40 kHz is already over their hearing range.
Directions
Place the device on the collar with the grid part facing away from the animal’s body. Remove the tab to activate the device. 4 red flashes will indicate that the device is powered on. You can verify its continued operation at any time by pressing the button once and confirming that the LED flashes in response. While not waterproof, the product is highly resistant to moisture . If the device gets wet, it should be dried immediately to prevent water damage. The device can keep parasites away for 9-12 months after activation.

My dog was covered in ticks, did a dip before placing device on dog to rid existing ticks. I have been had the device on my dog for a month now and no ticks or fleas!
