Main Duties

Reporting to the CEO, this key team member proactively drives the company forward each day in a mutli-functional role blending operations, supply chain, project management, and assisting the CEO.  You thrive on the varied challenges each day brings at a company that is scaling 20%+ growth.  You love details and getting things done, putting together all the pieces of the puzzle.

Supply Chain
  • Proactively builds personal relationships and intentionally manages supply chain vendors, including manufacturers, fulfillment centers / 3PL (third-party logistics) providers, shippers, logistics vendors, and more.
  • Manages, owns, and accountable for 1-3 key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Audits, reviews, and refines standard operating procedures (SoPs) and training.
  • Stays in stock for all SKUs across all channels (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, Chewy, etc.).
  • Update our inventory management dashboard twice a week.
  • Processes and fulfills purchase orders from distribution channel partners. Invoices customers.
  • Monitors Amazon sales and replenishes Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) stock while ensuring Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) orders are processed within the service level agreement (SLA).
  • Monitors customer orders each day. Assists and directs the customer service team to investigate issues with 3PL. Escalate when needed.
  • Identify patterns of shipment errors and implement corrective actions with vendors in their SoPs.
  • Measure and improve our shipping time to customers. Evolve our shipping pricing and shipping delivery offerings. Reduce logistics costs.
  • Willingness to tackle additional duties as company scales.

Project management

  • Project management of company roadmap with each team in the company.
  • Executive Assistant to CEO.  Filter / action emails; set up meetings; and other administrative duties to free up CEO's time.  This is 5% of the job.
  • Occasional personal assistant task for CEO. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience

Working for a company or vendor, you have honed your project management and customer services chops with 3-5+ years of experience in customer service, project management, operations, business analysis, supply chain, and/or fulfillment. 

GOOD

  • Worked in an operations and/or project management role.
  • Proactive project management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in consulting, technology implementation, marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven experience managing projects on time and on budget.
  • Hands-on familiarity with and working knowledge of project management tools such as Asana.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel.
  • Building personal relationships with vendors, you blend emotional intelligence with an unwavering focus to get things done.
  • Fluent, conversational English required.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s college degree.
  • Share our customer’s holistic health journey caring for their dogs and cats.
  • Your friends and family describe you as a pet lover.

  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce, website development, systems integration, marketing automations, or related fields.
  • Comfortable with learning new software applications and troubleshooting and systems integration problems.
