Dr. Turkell is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and the prestigious American Animal Hospital Association, Council of 100. He has a special interest in internal medicine, dermatology, exotic animal care and holistic pet health.
Experience
In 1980, Dr. Turkell took ownership of Lake Worth Animal Hospital. In the early stages of his subsequent career, he established Boynton Beach Animal Hospital, Calusa Animal Hospital, and Island Animal Hospital. Currently, he serves as the Partner/Medical Director at Calusa Veterinary Center in Boca Raton, Florida. This cutting-edge facility offers General, Emergency, and Specialty Practice care, including both allopathic and holistic treatments. Additionally, the center provides around-the-clock emergency services and features a critical care unit and referral specialty center.
Education
Dr. Turkell graduated with his DVM from Araneta University in Manila, Republic of the Philippines in 1979.
